I'm having a problem with message bank on my mobile, so I rang Telstra to try to get it fixed. The conversation went something like this.
COMPUTER: So we can correctly direct your call please tell us the nature of your call (blah, blah, blah)
COMPUTER: There is an approximate wait of 10 minutes would you like us to call you back.
ME: Yes

COMPUTER: I'll put you through now
1st CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSON (CSP1): What is your problem?
ME: blah, blah,blah
CSP1: That's not my area, please hold.

ME: I can't hang on here that long, can someone please call me back.

Best thing I ever did was to dump them.

And when they finally talk to you, it is a call centre that sounds like it is the Phillipines 😞
My DD lost a bet with me over that one, she insisted that Telstra call centres where in Australia!
I opted for the "ring me back" option when I had a problem - and they did within the specified time, so I can't complain about that part of their service.
The fact that it took about 2 months and at least 5 discussions for them to change the email address for billing is a different story,

I did that online yesterday, took me about 5 seconds.
If you ring 13POND, you can usually get an Australian, you used to be able to anyway, havent needed to ring them for a while. I find it easier to go into a telstra shop if I need anything done nowdays.

Yes punch, we did it on line too..... twice.
First try....
The bills were still being sent to the old address.
We did it again... and then rang them...
Bills still being sent to the old address (one we didn't actually use any more)
OH rang them confirming the change of email address...
still nothing arrives from Telstra.
It took me not paying a bill we didn't get, and them ringing me demanding payment before things started to change!

I found there were 2 different places online that I needed to check.
I dont know how it happened, but I bought an internet thingy for a laptop and in the process of setting it up, for my grandfather to use in hospital, I managed to glitch his email address into my account. So for the last 6 months he's been getting my phone bill, I was kinda hoping he'd pay it, but he just keeps forwarding it to me :^O
I hope its fixed now, I guess we'll see when the next bill arrives.
