DY: "I don't particularly want a thug that can barely string a sentence together as our leader. Do you?"
Let me think DY, a choice between someone with an economics/law degree and is also a Rhodes Scholar with a MA in Politics/Philosophy, as opposed to a person with an arts/law degree.
I might actually choose the wall punching inarticulate thug, not that I am a fan of either of their parties, and currently would/will? not vote for either.
Oh, and not the Greens in a fit.

Just mud-rakeing, dirt digging. Both sides do it.
An indepth look into how Abbott is going to stop the boats would be more productive.

Thats was 35 years ago..... wow talk about clutching at straws there shuggs.... desperation at its finest.
I am sure there are a few (many) things from your past shuggs thats you did....
The latest TAB odds are LNP $1.01 and your wonderful Labor party at $13.00

BludgerTrack: 55.6-44.4 to Coalition
BludgerTrack: 55.6-44.4 to Coalition
ReachTEL: 52-48 to Coalition in Victoria
You keep on showing your distaste and hatred shuggs but the majority of Australia dont care and are not listening to your precious Julia or the desperate Labor party.
Even the Bill Short Shorten says its going to be a landslide victory to Abbott
Cabinet minister Bill Shorten has added to the gloomy mood by conceding that the polls are pointing to a landslide Coalition win in September's federal election.
The Workplace Relations Minister was asked a question by a caller on talkback radio about whether Labor should switch leaders to try to boost its electoral chances.
Audio: Shorten concedes polls point to Abbott landslide win(The World Today)
"There is no doubt in my mind that if the polls are correct Tony Abbott will win in a landslide," he said

his own promises or whats 'unsaid' at this point in the policy area will bring him undone again in office. i dont find it too concerning given the fact his carrot policies are endorsed 'in theory' by the party, but won't eventuate. its the kind of thing that turns a swinging voter back.
his politics (or rather his tea-party approach) will yield only one term governments for quite a while.. the feral media aren't going to reform overnight and just leave him be now are they 🙂

Yes Abbott is a thug, you have to be to become a successful politician. But don't complain about it - you'll all be voting for him and then crying foul when he cuts pensions, closes schools and hospitals, slashes spending on public transport and infrastructure all to close the year with a budget surplus. That's what every incoming Liberal government does - they mop up the mess Labour creates but keep rubbing the mop back and forth even after the floor is stone dry.

Didn't you make a few posts on Julia's past work as a union Laywer and her secret accounts?
Maybe we all should write down every post we ever made to keep track of anything that could be classed as hypocrisy?

LOL topside, I am not a fan of Julia Gillard but I will be voting for her because she is the underdog and has been put in an unfair position from the get-go:
She basically had no choice but to challenge Kevin Rudd as he was on his way out - as Deputy Prime Minister she was the most suitable candidate. But did you see her face that night? SHe was shattered because she knew she'd be portrayed as the baddie.
When she said "There will be no carbon tax under a government I lead" she meant it. Gillard is no dummy - she KNEW what a new tax would do to her ratings. She also knew, as an astute politician, what would happen should she win office and then go back on her words. She would never recover.
SHE WAS FORCED INTO ACCEPTING A CARBON TAX BECAUSE THE GREENS MADE HER. THE GREENS ARE THE ENEMY HERE - NOT THE LABOUR PARTY. EVERYBODY LOVES THE GREENS AND DO NOT CONSIDER IT WAS THEIR ULTIMATUM IN SIGNING WITH LABOUR THAT CREATED THE CARBON TAX. WHY DO YOU THINK BROWN RETIRED? HE WAS A RAT DESERTING A SINKING SHIP. THANK GOD THE GREENS HAVE PEAKED.

I like some of Clive Palmer's policies, but I can't vote for him because he'll give his prefs to the rabbit.
But what about his newest recruit? 😮
