Some people get them on plans I think........lol
Everyone has different priorities, there are quite a few laundromats where I live so these people must not have washing machines, yet they all seem to have phones

The completed manuscript, stored on your iPhpne, of your last work must be worth 10,000 iPhones 🙂
DON"T lose it 🙂

I learned to type 100 wpm on one of those. And...........
my 5 yo Nokia cost me $49
Yep, me too as a dictaphone typist. Faster than shorthand. 3 years later progressed to an electric golfball and daisy wheel.
Ah.....memories.
Loved Helen's little humour elsewhere where the typist "returns" the machine right off the desk.

It isn't so much the prose as the pictures. Hard to convey those on a typewriter unless you are Raymond Chandler or Dashiell Hammett

Rather have my money in my pocket. Hate the phone when it rings, and I hang up if no one speaks in the first couple of seconds. Just paid my latest phone account. $2.86.

The new iphones are tempting but I always go for the best range and they don't rate as high as some others. I've been thinking of trying the Sony Xperia next time if nothing better is available when the time comes. I don't change until there is a reason usually. Last one I dropped and broke the screen. This one has been dropped a lot and is still going strong, although it has developed some annoying habits which is why I was looking at phone choices recently.

The battery life is amazing, that is a huge plus for me
and I find there is nothing worse than someone showing me a picture or video on their phone and I cannot see it (too small)
I agree with joono, I also have an ipad now that I rarely use, you can sit across from people and show a video etc from the new iphone 6 plus and everyone can see it. It is also very light and does not feel bulky at all.

I have a phone with big Keys, yes and they are worn from my finger nails.
My phone does NOTHING
It does not take photos or go on the net, people text me or phone me that is it.
I hate people phoning or texting me when I am driving.
I hate people who you are talking to always looking at their phone, cell phones make people rude.

Geepers I must be poor then...............I have never owned a mobile phone.............nor do I want to.
I have only upgraded in the last 12 months to a laptop.............prior to that I used the computer my smarty pants son built me.................I had two wires I used to have to touch together to turn it on..........and then put them under a plastic mat so that when I moved my computer chair it did not accidentally turn it off again........
Does it show that I am not a person who cares about owning things..........

They do look good but I often find myself in areas with patchy reception and they don't do patchy well.
I have to update something as the tablet I use is struggling these days and too may apps are not compatible. The OS must be too old and cumbersome for what I use it for.
