Everyone has different priorities, there are quite a few laundromats where I live so these people must not have washing machines, yet they all seem to have phones

We are very lucky to live in a country where these things and others are taken for granted and just expected to have.

Yes, easily.

You don't NEED a mobile phone except in maybe certain professions.

All I have is a land-line. I don't know anything about mobile phones.

Our land line is rarely used now as its become cheaper to use the mobile.

The majority of surfing I do on my phone is wifi, so it makes no difference. I am on about the cheapest Telstra plan and I have never gone over my limit; gone close a couple of times when we've been away from home for weeks but never over.

I love my ipad. I have a samsung basic phone, a galacy Ace
AND if I needed a new phone I would go Iphone for sure.. Probably the Familiarity and ease.

And ANDROID…What does android mean in the phone world? My son son say its just Samsung?

I have an unlocked iPhone but I use an iinet sim plan.  The cost is $10/month and it gives me $150 worth of calls and text (although texts to other iPhones are free anyway) and just 200mb of internet.

In four years of the plan I have never been charged over the $10 except when I found out that it doesn't cover calls or texts to tv shows where you get to vote.  I probably voted on Idol or something.
