This is not 'a gift that fell from the sky', it was a sentimental possession lost in a car park.
Surely the request to claim it on insurance is dodgy!

If the insurance company had made a payout for the bracelet then it would belong to the insurance company if found. The owners could have redeemed it by repaying the insurance company.
No wonder the finder of the bracelet was no longer a lawyer if he thought the insurance company would make a payout after the bracelet had been found.

Bob, that is just revolting seriously grow up. The man lacks integrity lets face it. He is supposed to be someone who helps people not rips them off. I hope the church disciplines him over it because quite frankly he shouldn't me a rev if that story is accurate.
Meh. If the church doesn't take raping young boys that seriously and not even report criminals amongst them when they knew about it, why should they care about this minor issue?

Bella-again, what is revolting? It's common knowledge that clergymen have raped boys and continue to do so...... I guess its in good faith this one hasnt done it either. Good lord - the religion is full of pedo's

The incident has left the church embarrassed and apologetic, with Archbishop Roger Herft saying the Reverend was now facing disciplinary action and the possibility of being removed from his position.
"I find the whole story to be quite reprehensible. There is an issue in the law, but once the owner was established the moral code must apply," Archbishop Herft said.
"There will be some explaining to be done, and I am hopeful Rev. McAuliffe regrets it deeply."
After the issue was made public in The West Australian today, the Reverend - a former lawyer - backed down from his stance and agreed to return the bracelet to the couple.
But Archbishop Herft said his actions were too little, too late and he had personally apologised to the Bevans.
"The right decision has been made but it should have been made right at the beginning," Archbishop Herft told ABC radio.

The story is about a lost and found bracelet, nothing at all to do with children.... however, I think you will find that it is not different at all..... accusations/charges etc are within every Religion.

Do you agree then quilts that the Catholic church is essentially a criminal organization of the highest order?

no I don't Bob....not sure why you clutched onto that quote, it was not me who attached it to the Catholic Church...
no better, no worse than any other group who have covered up for pedophiles...... scouts, football, gymnastics, dance, orchestra, neighbourhood, family, school...... it's a long list.
