I used to pour a bit of cider on the table, that kept the wasps busy and away from my drink

This is the Australian eBay board, so most of us live in Aussie conditions, too...with many an open can in wasp season 🙂
yep, that is modern natural selection. just like aussies baking on the beach with no sun screen. or going into the the outback with no water.

Yes, the sad thing is that the British don't know about sunscreen. Considering the balmy summers they have been getting.
now, sunscreen isn't such a lovely fragrance.

mad dogs and englishmen go out in the midday sun....
that is why aussies have that lovely lobster colour and ears that look like rats ate them while they were blind drunk.
i rather stink than die.
(i buy these big bottles with the daffodil on them, (coles) they do not stink much but work)

I wear a hat and enough light clothing to protect me. I am allergic to most sunscreens. There was one by L'Occitane, which was light, pleasantly almond blossom in scent, that worked and did not irritate. They changed the formula and that was that.
(I will look for that bottle, thank you)

I have a perfume called Lou Lou, it is lovely.
Alot of the old perfumes they dont make these days.
Many years ago when I was 17, Revlon made one called Intimate, I loved that one and so did my friends, it had a divine smell, but it has gone too.
My grandmother use to use one called something.......Violets, had a pretty smell, I can still see the picture on the bottle in my mind.
Chemist Warehouse is having a perfume sale at the moment, might go down and see what they have on offer.
That's what prompted this thread
