Just bought a Tablet and so excited .... BUT

A samsung Galaxy A and I love it already except it won't connect to my wifi.  I've tried 6 times.   Stupidly my wifi password is about 2 lines long as that's what they told me to do when I first got, so ....

Does it have to be case sensitive?

Any ideas why it won't connect (It says authentication problems)

Any way of changing my password?  (to something short)

Very very frustrated here.......feeling sorry for myself as it's a rotten day here in Melbourne and I was so looking forward to snuggling up with my Galaxy ( sad isn,'t it.)

1)I don't know where my router's config page is,  or the username or password.  A friend (no longer) set it up for me.years ago.  

Stawks I have tried the case sensitive password but I'll try it again.

Sorry Bright.  All too hard for me also, specially if you don't know your network name.

You could be picking up a dozen names from your neighbourhood.

Thanks Stawks,  yes I do know my network name and password, but don't know how to open the configuration page whatever that is . My laptop is running on the wifi and router right now and has done for years. .  That above ilink could be helpful.  Anyway looking on the internet this seems to be a fairly common prob with the tablets.    I'll keep hacking away and tks for yr support my friend.

Does the password have 0's or o's,(as it's easy to pick the wrong one,(the zero is bigger than the standard

letters).

There could also be a problem with capitols  I's,(i's) and standard l,(L's).

Authentication problem's is it not accepting the password/network.

Are you using the password on the card,(generally a card the size of a credit card) or getting it from

elsewhere?)

The trouble is the password is a password from hell and i ^have^ to change it or i'll go bonkers. Two whole lines of gibberish.   

Anyway ...yay.......   somehow I mhave managed to get connected by turning offf ther modem for about 10 mins then waiting anohe 10 to switch it on and it worked.  Right now the tab is downloading updates.
