LNP wrecking ball govt, list of lies & incompetences

Here's a blog that records the abbott governments failures and lies. Wow, there are SO MANY (would love to edit that to bold, red).

Just some of the lies recorded...

- failed to spend his first week in an aboriginal community (instead, cut funding for aboriginal legal aid)

- failed to stop, or even slow, the boats. Hides them instead and now hides the minister too

- double backflip on Gonski, resulting in free handouts to the states that aren't contracted

- outright lies about the NBN

- downgrading of NDIS

- outright lie about providing the customised boat to monitor whaling. Instead, it is being used to hunt and capture asylum seekers.

It's an interesting list of failures...72 so far... and well worth a read. Can you think of others?

Posting childish pics/cartoons is another matter ( which may fit your need to grow up category).

How about the LNP'ers comment on the truth of the broken election promises instead?

That list is scary Karen.

Putting the broken promises aside, their new policies or changes to existing policies affect every sector negatively. And some are downright petty. What to say about a government that scraps policies and replaces them not with new, fresh, modern ones but with exact copies of policies from another (howard) era?

I don't think they've added giving 11 million to upgrade manly stadium. I wonder why a footy team deserves that much money...could it be showing tony Abbott's priorities? Not a red cent for manufacturing, but millions to sport...

What frightens me most is what else is coming?

I was fairly confident that a lot of the promises would be broken but it just keeps getting worse.

He's done a tenth of his term, Donna...and I notice Malcolm spruiking for more media time, so I suspect he's hankering for another go. Fortunately, his lies have reduced his popularity.

The thing that annoys me the most is this governments utter hypocrisy. They ranted and raved about one broken promise, promised they'd never do the same...yet have been breaking promises since day one. What contempt for the population.

I predict the NDIS will be a broken promise. They've renamed the launch sites to "trial sites" and started complaining about costs. I wouldn't be surprised if these "trial sites" will be extended and the program will stall...until next election.

I don't think you copied mine, I am going to start one on lack of investment in public transport when traffic congestion is a problem. Doesn't infrastructure include public transport?

I prefer to speak about each and every topic at length because your list is too long for discussion Karen 🙂
