Today Julia Gillard will have been PM for as long as Kevin Rudd.
Unfortunately for Australians their records are just as bad: more debt, deficits, waste, boats, broken promises and increasing cost of living pressures on families and more lies

Yes donna, Tony is a little man, and he loves to dress up in his fireman clothes when there's a TV camera around 😉

But you do have an effect. Probably not in the political sense, but on this forum. People seem too scared to post their opinion (politically) unless they're radical because time after time the posse has come in and shut them down. And sometimes they've had a point. I think it's had a run-on effect on the forum in general too, people seem to have given up posting anything in case it gets jumped on.
Really, no one can comment on Julia's hair colour? And we'll bring up Abbot every time and rip into him, doesn't matter if he has nothing whatsoever to do with the issue.
Agree with you 100% about the left wing posse who fly in here to gang up on any Lib poster who has the hide to post an opinion.
I'm also in agreement on the never ending macho comment from LL who is a bully (overused word) but appropriate in this instance.
Also the absolutely sexist comment aimed at Abbott even though he's not the focus of a thread but dragged in to bolster opposing opinions.
The twee outrage if Ms Gillard is even mentioned in any other way than gushing praise.
You are not the only one who has noticed it's practically impossible to post a thread without childish spiteful snipes & you spend the rest of your time on the thread defending yourself against the same clique.

nevyn, I clearly remember the last election and this forum was so far right it wasn't funny, even eve had a tony abbott avatar lol.
It's all in good fun I think but if members are going to post bs articles from non credible sources then they are asking for it (me thinks)
That is not true, these boards were so anti Liberal last election it was a waste of time even posting.
As for bs non credible sources, it all depends on which side of the fence you sit on.
If we all read the age & other Fairfax rags they'd be no comment here.

With all the labour bashing I see on cs, is the liberal party/ Tony Abbot any better, I think not.
I like to think I'm a undecided voter and I'm so stuck in the middle.

Crystal, you've posted on the wrong forum again. 🙂

i fail to see how mentioning abbotts hair is sexist. it may be irrelevant, like gillards hair. but the threads are not really about hair are they..
perhaps you ought to just lift your game ? supporters will emerge if you do.. not that more c and p will help mind, you need someone to say something of real substance rather than just the sloganeering on- a -loop.. that stuff doesn't cut it anywhere else so why should CS be any different ? the posters here are capable of independent thought, why not give it a try ?

That's a crock.
Any time any opinion on any failed or upcoming disastrous policy of Labors is posted you are the first to comment with inane snide innuendo either about Abbott or going back to Howard, nothing about the op's piece, no relevent argument.
You never really add anything to a thread.
As for c & p, well that's a tool that is highly overused by lab supporters to post endless links & c & p without any opinion of their own.
If a c & p article is posted critisizing a labor policy the source is ridiculed & demeaned or written off as a News LTD hate campaign, regardless of the stature of the journalist who writes it or where it comes from.
I am not the only one who notices the ganging up, the nit picking of any posters opinion, the demand for proof or links, the endless personal snipes, the pm's sent to gather back up to gang up on a poster.
The spelling police who take a common error to then ridicule the poster & nothing about the crux of the subject, they're not interested, all they want is to drive them off.
All this type of behaviour you have to take some of the blame for.

You have to give LL points for persisting no matter what:^O
