Labor Party, Rudd & Gillard A Total Failure

Today Julia Gillard will have been PM for as long as Kevin Rudd.

Unfortunately for Australians their records are just as bad: more debt, deficits, waste, boats, broken promises and increasing cost of living pressures on families and more lies

So which side is using the spambots?

Which side has an army of 0 id posters ready to slander the PM?

Which side has policies?

Which side rely on silly slogans?

Who talks down the country every chance they get?

So... the December quarter is out and the Mining Companies are not paying any MRRT... again...

How grand is a Treasurer that designs a tax to pay for much needed infrastructure  and that tax produces no income????

So much for being worlds greatest treasurer....

its a super profits tax.. tax on larger than usual profits. it simply means the miners aren't as profitable. that' d be the fault of the miners. ? odd to oppose something and then claim it doesn't work :^O only the current opposition could be so see through.. if it was bringing in large revenues they would complain about that too.

The problem is that Swann took it as a given and based his spending on the revenue...

he budgeted for over 2 billion dollars...

I know for a fact that the mines have changed a lot... some to do with the au dollar, some to do with the CO2 tax and a some  to do with the MRRT...

they will never pay that tax... they will make sure of it..

if they never pay the tax its because the rec boom is winding down a little.

nothing to do with swan. he isn't reponsible for demand .. not being a miner and all.

all this doesn't seem to discourage the voters returning to the ALP does it ?

todays figures look encouraging 🙂 anyone talking landslides had better bight their tongue..

with 8  or 9 months to go its anybodys... or another hung parliament . which is highly likely.

OK LL I get what you are saying BUT why did Swan budget for 2 billion dollars from the tax???

That money has already been spent yet now he is not going to get it???

Does that not worry you??

well no, probably because it doesn't worry a large proportion of economists. it's a blip on the radar of an economy that is performing well overall. like the surplus 'issue' which is a tokenism not a neccessity. i wasn't worried when costello sold off australia's gold reserves at a bargain price either (especially in light of it's value now).
