I'm not sure if I am older or about the same (and I am not telling here).  In your photo you look younger than me, but then I look younger than I am.  Very confusing.

I agree LD admires our wisdom, obviously.

"If you're not a liberal at 20 you have no heart, if you're not a conservative at 40 you have no bra...

Said Winston Churchill, quoted by gadfly, commenting in a thread where my political orientation is under discussion.

I said: "I see you're counting by 20s. I'm 60. So... another category is needed."

XWL took up the challenge:
20s, liberal
40s, conservative
60s, (my stab at a quote)

If you aren't both thoroughly disgusted yet quietly bemused by politics at 60, then you haven't been paying attention.Smiley LOL

Iโ€™ve voted LNP since old enough to vote, and I despise the man and everything he stands for.

Re: Latest Poll only 65yrs+ prefer LNP.....

These pensioners aren't huge fans, and a lot of pensioners/seniors who did vote LNP last time won't be doing it again

Pensioners raise voice against payment changes

PENSIONERS raised their voices in anger on Thursday with leading seniors advocate group COTA Australia fighting back against proposed changes to the age pension.

Pension erosion: 100 years of pension reform out the window

WHAT would you say if you woke up tomorrow to news that your pension was going to drop by $100 per week?

Youโ€™d probably be pretty outraged.

But if the Budget proposal regarding pension indexation comes into play, the pensionโ€™s value will drop by about $100 per week in just ten years.

The removal of wage indexation effectively represents the biggest cut to pensions since the introduction of the Age Pension in 1908.

Budget backlash

VICTORIAN and Queensland seniors have led the way in a wave of grassroots protest against federal and state budget measures that are set to reduce the value of pensions and increase healthcare costs, while cutting funding for pensionersโ€™ and seniorsโ€™ concessions.

At the same time, seniors advocacy groups continue to lobby the government for change and doctors have pledged to fight hard for a reversal of health reforms.

Fair Go for Pensioners Coalition spokesman Lew Wheeler said seniors were well represented in a rally of about 2000 people that marched on Federation Square in May to oppose the budget measures. โ€œThe momentum continues to build to have these vicious proposed policy changes overturned,โ€ he said.

LD replied in a quite 'over the top' manner, saying:  I find this type of hate on cs appalling and not a place for hate speech.

I think most loathe the man......but certainly most have come to hate what comes out of his mouth-what he says is rubbish most of the time or lies or both IMO.
