Its not my branch as I don't live in Cairns.
If he was I for one would be giving him a ribbing about his maths.

Wasted lobster alright! Why on earth wouldn't you give everyone
a half tail each and do some kind of avocado mayonnaise. It's
not like the lobster was cooked in any special way. Why buy so
many, if all you were going to do, was put a tablespoon of the meat
on top of sliced avocado? Looked like baby food.
I think they should all have a budget. That would be fair

Also, why the hell did they buy a couple of dozen passionfruit at around $1 each when that they had their own vine with plenty of fruit on it (although as it turned out, it was just as well that they had them to use as spares when he stuffed up the passionfruit syrup)?
And if you believe that convenient little coincidence wasn't part of a carefully scripted scenario, then you are more gullible than I took you for, CQ..

I did like the statue that was on the patio. It would look lovely in my back yard.

I think the producers must pay a stet amount but I imagine the contestants are allowed to pay out of their own funds, if they can.
When watching it last night my impression was that the dirty old man's friends who rave about his and his girly's dinner parties only come for the expensive ingredients. I'd say almost anything to get a free lobster and mud crab dinner
