There will always be some movement, but I guess if it is less than in some other areas, then there is a better chance of containing things.

The light rail doesn't go anywhere near the Northern Beaches and I have not heard of any cases outside that area except for the one case in Cronulla (south).

True - But I was commenting on movement in cities - not necessarily just the Northern Beaches.

Actually in answer to Lyh's - people move around large cities more than we probably think. OK

List of Areas - 22nd December

If you have been to any of these locations during the time and date indicated you should:

• immediately self-isolate until 14 days after you were last there
• get tested even if you have no symptoms
• watch for COVID-19 symptoms and get retested should any symptoms recur
• even if you get a negative test, you must stay in isolation for 14 days as it can take 14 days before you may show symptoms or test positive.

We had a diagnosed positive case pass through here last weekend. They were going from Sydney (northern beaches) to somewhere in Victoria, stopped at the shops here, plus went to the hospital for some reason. They aren't still here, yet NSW Health has now said we are a hotspot, despite having no active cases anywhere in the health district (which covers a very large part of the state).

What scares me is, when they announced that Sydney would be in lockdown from midnight Sunday night, residents fled so they could get out and spend Christmas with their families. These are the ones I worry about because they care for no one other than themselves and will do what they want, when they want. By getting out before midnight, they could potentially be super spreaders to areas outside of Sydney.

I fear that NSW is going to become Victoria a few months ago. Right when we had most restrictions lifted, and life was pretty much normal.

Oh, and the morons have started panic buying again. The toilet paper aisle is bare.

I noticed my locals coles bringing pallets of loo paper into the store to combat this so hopefully will be the same for other areas.

A suspected Covid case has just been admitted to the hospital where I am....in the next room no less!   Wonderful!

Surely there must be a more isolated room to put a suspect case other than on the Aged care ward.

A person that makes an informed decision to not take the fast tracked vaccine is more likely to practice better health and nutrition. They would eat food that is more natural and have less toxins added. They would be more likely to drink pure water. They would be better people to be around.

The key word in your post is " informed", which you aren't. If you were, you'd know there is no proof as of yet that people could still transmit the virus. Precautions are recommended until we do know one way or the other, that's called common sense. 

  And I stand by my earlier post, no vaccine=NO contact with others, no matter what you eat or drink. Heaalth nuts are dying too.

I am not anti-vacc either!

Perhaps in 5 years after a reputable study is done and there has been adequate time to see what side effects may or may not exist, people in the "selective vacc", "freedom to choose", "pro-vacc but not on this one" may make a decision different to the one they are making at this time.

At this time there are pro-vacc folk saying .... "Hang on, this is too early". Way too early. It does take years for a vaccine to be proven safe. In the interim, better early stage treatment and promotion of better health and well-being is a must.
