sticky date pudding- sounds delicious, but I tried it once and it was way too sweet for me..
I watched Matthew pour that brown sugar, in that blobby way that brown sugar has, I started feeling a bit woozy at the sight, like I was going to faint..lol
Do you have a good recipe you could steer me toward, stawks? The sound of those raspberries is perfect! I can just imagine the tartness cutting through the cloying sweetness..
PS Go Smashleigh, Reynold, Billie

Ive got to agree with you there kopes- for someone who made such a mention of training people to manage other people..oh-oh..you know that old saying, those that can: do, those that cant: train?? lol
Why didnt she make a middle eastern treat- like a baklava or something? Duh.
As long as Billie doesnt use her pin, and I would like to see more of Jessie..

Donna Hay's recipe is the one that comes closest to mine.
But I use a round cake pan and cut into wedges - she cuts hers into squares.
The sauce, I usually just eyeball (guess) quantities, slowly melting butter and
sugar and not adding cream until sugar is melted. I don't boil it.

I wanted Sara to go, but in the end it didn't really matter.
All the old contestants back for that 10th spot.
The right choice was made there, by the judges

Jessie as you probably saw was the one eliminated, however suddenly the judges said she gets a second chance.
All the eliminated contestants come back and need to cook a best dish of their own choosing.
The winning dish contestant then cooks against Jessie to return to the competition.
Stephen cooked a lobster and thought it may have been under done, but won out of all the returned contestants with Kristina a close second.
Stephen and Jessie then cooked off. Stephen cooks a desert and Jessie a lobster with dill mayo.
Jessie wins and is back in the comp. She was lucky as Stephen had left something off his desert and had he not, he may have won.
Top 10 left.

Thanks stawks for the recipe..- I cooked the sticky date pud last night for dessert for birthday boy...v delicious, I only had a little of the sauce- which is what I found was too sweet last time..
young master had a slice at 2am..as you do! lol
Glad with who is still in, though its pretty clear whose wheels are a bit wobbly..I found it really odd when Stephen was cooking dessert for his one chance of getting back in..why? why cook something you have the least ability with? and then to stuff up the easiest parts of it- the rhubarb..seriously, if you cant stew rhubarb..what hope is there for you in the competition? A boiled egg is more difficult! (as Rose found out lol)
Looking forward to the Mystery box tonight..
