Little bit of balsamic in the onions is just yummo.
What kind of curry...Indian?...Thai?
Or just make it up as you go along?
My daughter always used to ask me "wot's for dinna, ma?"
And I'd always answer "Dunno - haven't finished yet"

You, any fruit is nice especially topped with strawberry jam and cream...the cheesy scones sound yummy too ..I have to admit I like warm scones that haven`t long been out of the oven..mum used to wrap them in a tea towel to keep them warm...memories!!

stawka, do you mean up to 'date' ? hahaha oh the jokes!
kopes- the danish club- sounds good- do you have to be a member?
What sort of things were included in the smorgasbord?? I admit, Im not a fan of pickled herring..sorry about that.
MC was good last night- Ive taken to watching it online..I always seem to busy when its on TV. That pannacotta looked amazing, so well done Jacqui! and John seems to have reigned himself in and is a lot more focused. Im fascinated by Filipino recipes- I travelled there when I was 15, and the exotic combinations and the rich sweetness of the desserts comes back to me, watching him cook.
Worried for Ashleigh..What did everyone else think?

Date - lol. I really did go and make date scones for supper. Happy, happy
Ashleigh looks like she's in trouble, but they always edit that way.
I would like to see Anna eliminated tonight.

Sooo jealous about the date scones..stifled sob
Had to recheck who Anna was! lol
Yep, out of Ashleigh, Billie and Anna Id like Ashleigh and Billie to stay..Billie is a very good cook..
I forgot to answer your curry query- I like Kurma Dasas recipes- do you know him?
on 08-06-2015 01:42 PM
Just had a quick google. Seems he has left our fair shores for Ireland.
But vegetarian cooking is good. I don't always feel like eating meat,
Are you vegetarian? My daughter has been for 30 years.
on 08-06-2015 02:26 PM
No, Im not vegetarian, but I do like vegetables, and I think I probably cook with them better than I cook meat...
I didnt know that about Kurma- his recipes are v easy, but really delicious..I have a couple of his recipe books..I quite like following recipes- its kind of restful! and at least edible lol
I guess after 30yrs, your daughter is a healthy vegetarian.. What I mean, is Ive met so many women who are vegetarians and they have low energy and their skin isnt great, and they kind of feel a bit weak...Ive also know some really healthy ones too..I suppose my diet is about 25% meat, 75% vegies...

Youcan - No, don't need to be a member.
It's a traditional fare, first herrings, prawns with egg n mayo and grav lax with sweet mustard.
Then crumbed fish with remolade, fish cakes and salads.
Followed by Danish meatballs with red cabbage, fresh hot pate with champignons and finally roast pork with crackling n potatoes.
Then Danish pastries followed by cheese platter and coffee n chocolates. Too much really.
I also hope Anna is the one to go as Ashleigh n Billie are both very good. But worried for Ashleigh.
