Modern 'fine dining', stawks.

Trent wants to start a food van, so I suspect 90% of what he's learnt will never be used. Good advertising, though. I'll try him when he gets the van up and running.

Was not asked to cook.

Is it just me?   Or is the food just getting more and more ridiculous?

It's not a meal and people pay top dollar for it.

Michelin stars  - pffft  -  It was started by the tyre company

I watched it last night and thought how pretentious the dishes were!

And tonight I needed a translation. The first guy, cooking quail with cauli what??? ๐Ÿ˜›

Re: Masterchef 2016

Its matt who wants to have a food truck, not trent.

trent wants to have his own local sourced restaurant.

Im still enjoying it- though I wish at times that Elena would stop talking. It might be the schoolteacher in her..

I was hoping mimi would go through tonight- her dish was the riskiest..and I like watching her cook.

Napa Valley looked v beautiful..lush..

LA tomorrow night: Santa Monica..another picturesque place.

Re: Masterchef 2016

I'm starting to think Elena is the one to beat now   She's very confident.

But I'm torn now on who I want to win.  I think Elise should go next.

I've been trying to think who Matt reminds me of...............and I think I've got it.

Barbie doll's boyfriend, Ken,  with blonde hair!

MasterChef Australia, season 8, 2016, channel 10, ten, cooking, reality, Matt Preston, George Calombaris, Gary Meghan

It's the eyes................really weird.        He looks startled all the time.

Re: Masterchef 2016

How did three aspiring chefs all miss the basic prawn obstacle?

it's not like it's a new thing....

One would almost think they think they have gone as far as they can go.

Re: Masterchef 2016

Sometimes prawns can have the vein in but no poo and I think they saw some without the black poo then thought they had been done.

But they seemed to still have the shell which means they couldn't have been de-veined unless done expertly an that's unlikely.

Out of the three I think Harry is the only one with real potential.

Re: Masterchef 2016

Maybe it was edited, but Harry and Brett checked 2 prawns out of, maybe 200? Why not check them when you're peeling them? Those 2 deserve to go into an elimination round based on that alone.

Also, maybe down to editing- but what did Brett actualy do? (apart from peeling prawns) and then playing at being team leader- 'OK folks we have to do 1 thing at a time'..it was a joke.

Mimi doesnt deserve to be in the elimination- and tonight, I hope she can keep a cool head..

sad to say- its time to go: Brett.

Re: Masterchef 2016

Bad move with the prawns.   And why is it that Brett couldn't actually say

to Harry that they couldn't afford the time to skewer them.

It was his neck on the block as well.  Talk about timid.

I don't know what Brett was doing either.

Have to agree - of the three,  it should be Brett
