I like Masterchef better than the other cooking comps.
Great way to start this season rather than the mass single tasks they used to do.
Now every hopeful contestant gets 1 hour to cook a dish tasted by the 3 judges.
With second chance contestants cooking for a blind tasting.
24 contestants get an apron.

Anti-social media serve up a mixed reaction to Monty Koludrovic.
I suggest you have your sunnies at the ready as there is a pic of Matt in his 'santa suit' also!

How wonderful lane to have experienced early Bondi days and to see the Icebergs venue develop.
In my Gym days I would go from sauna to ice pool and always feel so alive afterwards.
The icebergs is an admirable institution that I hope lives on forever.
Support for the icebergs is, I believe, still as strong as ever.
It sure has developed from the time the 'sardine can' was strapped on my back to help me learn to float
I did swim with the icebergs once or twice but that was enough for me Kopes.

On Monty, I read the article and no, he was only giving Sashi the chef treatment that needs to go on to lift culinary hopefuls.
That's pretty normal i hospitality. (I was a silver service waiter in younger years)
I thought when I watched Monty that he was a good teacher pointing out facts. Nothing in it IMO.

I agree.
I didn't see anything untoward. The chef was being honest with the contestants.
They get a similar type of pressure in the Masterchef kitchens as far as I can see-judges always yelling that there's only 15 minutes and they need to step it up.
Monty was facing a situation where there were actually people in the restaurant waiting. The reality was that if Sashi didn't get all his plates out within the time frame, they couldn't go out at all because the next contestant's were ready to go. Without that push, I don't think sashi would have made it. In fact i think I saw Monty helping to plate up some. It was stressful for Monty too.
Don't blame Monty, blame the producers, they set the almost impossible time frames deliberately in order to milk as much drama as possible.
I sat down last night expecting to see the next episode & discovered it isn't till Sunday.

Me 3 or is it 4 now?
Thought I was losing my marbles - some might say I was right. Do I look like I care? NOPE!

I've had a feeling for a while she might get knocked out of top spot.
Mind you, I never expected Ben to make the final 3 but then again, it was another fish dish.
Sashi I think has had the wobblies for a couple of weeks. He is too intimidated by the fact he has chefs trying his food. Tonight it was obvious one of the chefs didn't just want the chicken breast. He told Sashi not to forget the 'best' bit of the dish & what did Sashi do? Exactly that, in order to make it look more 'fine dining'. He should have just gone for it & been prepared to have a rustic looking dish.
Khanh I think will probably be in the final two.
And it is on again tomorrow night, I am pretty sure I heard them say. Feeding a 2 course meal for about 30 people, was it? That's my idea of a nightmare.
