geez sounds like your really copping it there tazz

we're much the same as brerrabbit so far..  just steady rain...

A bit more expected in the next 6 hours or so,(but not as severe more steady type stuff which is good for the

soil as it needs it.

Bendigo,Ballarat have thunderstorms at present and that cell is heading for Geelong and may just miss

Melbourne or get the outskirts,(that cell is similar to what hit us),shok.gif

40mm overnight and it's just stopped - for now.

No thunderstorms as yet.

But I think that cell might get me.

I'm staying home.

Northern suburbs Melbourne.

If it keeps on it's current course then you will cop it and it could be more than 40 mm,(here it very solid rain in

that it came down quickly in bursts),shok.gif

Stay safe and indoors could be the best place to be,give_rose.gif

Re: Melbourne severe weather warning

Thanks Tazz.

Helping me decide to stay home was the fact that daughter has to pick me up.

She's a cowering, slobbering mess in thunderstorms.

Needs to be under the bed.

I don't need her driving like that.   no smiley.gif

We've had 49 mm so far,(streets will be flooded in town and shops will have sandbags out as the drainage

can't cope with quick solid rain like this).

I'm in Yarrawonga,(Mid North Victoria).

Appently there is flooding noth of Wang  ...... traffic to/from Melb being diverted via Shep, can add an hour to the trip

Round 25mm here, light rain falling atm , my veggie are all smiling

Im also in SW Vic  ..... looks like we missed the worst of it so far

No thunderstorms so far, not that they bother me

Re: Melbourne severe weather warning

I went out this morning, rained all the way there & back but only heavily in one part.

Wouldn't you know it, just as I turned into my own court coming home, the rain cleared and it hasn't rained since!

Not looking awfully promising outside though. Don't think I'll bother hanging the washing out, put it that way.

Re: Melbourne severe weather warning

My OH informed me that roads to Wangaratta,Rutherglen,Wodonga areas  were shut due to flash floods

blocking the roads,(they brought in a helicopter to get cars to safer ground).

We've gone over 61 mm and it's still raining.
