No wind here this morning, very humid, more rain expected some time today
Doing the washing, so any extra rain will top up my tank quite nicely n water my gardens

It sounds like Foo and Rosie have the right idea David.
If it was me I would probably join them.
Sydney had a severe thunder storm about 6pm last night. The wind was ferocious and the 23mm of rain in this area was all delivered in a few minutes....and we were lucky!
Then we had a blackout which was so spooky.....there was not a sound....you could hear a pin drop. There was not even any rain to break the silence.
It was supposed to be a wet day today but so far no sign of rain although it is a bit dull.

Thanks,we are fine,(a few things got wet and some are fine others can be replaced),
Traffic is getting redirected to our main highway so it's taking a bit longer to get around the town,(no much
of an inconvenience and they don't have a choice so all good),
That makes 82 mm in the last 4 days and a lot more elsewhere around the district,

I got 38mm in one huge downpour yesterday arvo and now there's more on the way.
Severe thunderstorms are making their way towards Melbourne's outer north, and forecasters say more flooding could follow yesterday's deluge in the city.
http://www.weatherzone.com.au/news/severe-storms-head-towards-melbourne-prompting-weather-warnings-f...
Victoria's State Emergency Service (SES) has been dealing with almost 700 calls for help after heavy rain caused flash flooding and building damage yesterday — and a new warning has been issued for this afternoon.
The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) said a severe thunderstorm was detected just before 1:00pm near the area east of Flowerdale, north-east of Melbourne.
Further east, another storm was detected south-east of Yea.
"They are forecast to affect the area east of Whittlesea by 1:20 pm and Craigieburn, Sunbury and Whittlesea by 1:50 pm," the warning said.
Last night's deluge hit Melbourne's inner-east hardest, flooding roads and damaging buildings, including the police station in the suburb of Richmond.
SES state duty officer Chris Brockwell said the organisation received 250 reports of building damage after the storm.
He said 25 people had been rescued after becoming trapped in floodwaters.
More heavy rain this morning has resulted in almost 100 calls for assistance in Gisborne and Darley, north-west of Melbourne, and Prahran and Toorak in city's inner south-east.
"We received in excess of 400 requests within the Melbourne metro area between 4:30pm and 8:30pm [on Friday], when the metro area received 34 millimetres of rain in 15 minutes," he said.
