>> Harmony off the menu: AFP calls off Ramadan dinners after Muslim leaders object to raids and 'victimisation'
>> The Australian Federal Police has reportedly cancelled its annual Ramadan dinners after receiving backlash from some Muslim community members, who urged their leaders to boycott the event.
>> The AFP has been known for hosting the Eid dinners to celebrate the end of the holy month of Ramadan, as part of an ongoing commitment to engage with the Islamic community.
>> But a group named Concerned Muslims Australia had set up a petition calling on imams and representations to boycott the dinners being held in Sydney and Melbourne this year...

Yeah well I guess it does seem a little hypocritical of the coppers to provide a Ramadan meal one minute, then go raiding the community for weapons, passports etc the next.

Is that anything like LE hosting drug awareness seminars at schools, then hypocritically arresting meth-heads who are holding?

Muslims flexing their muscles and dictating what the police can do. We could be faced with "No Go" areas like in many other countries.
As for police raids? well thank God they do because if we knew only a fraction of the weapons and radicalisation out there we wouldn't be criticizing the police for doing their job, and that's what they are there for.
If there wasn't an Islamic terror war exploding all over the world then raids wouldn't be necessary. Where are the Muslim community who supported the end of Ramadan dinners held before? why aren't they standing up? engaging in the community with the police?

I m not sorry we live in a time where people are enacting great deeds of evil and chaos designed to destabilise our way of life it Is being done in the name of Islam rightly or wrongly , so if you belong to that group you are going to come under greater scrutiny like it or not that is the price of the freedom to live in this country, if this offends you that is your problem not mine, if this offends you to the point of taking action that is against the law then I would say that the attention was warranted , if you truely want to be equal in this country, then weed out the radicals from your community and live as one in the society that you chose to become a member of , you came to us we did not come to you, if you want our respect then you must respect that we have our own ways that are important to us, if these are not compatible with you and your way of life that's fine, you are free to live here amongst us as long as you except we will not change who we are to meet who you want us to be, if this does not suit you you are free to find some place that is a match to your preferred life style, that is the freedom we give to you one you may not get in another country

Muslims flexing their muscles and dictating what the police can do.
(To rephrase part of the OP):
>> The AFP ABC has been known for hosting the Eid dinners to celebrate the end of the holy month of Ramadan, current affairs programme QandA as part of an ongoing commitment to engage with the Islamic Australian community.
>> But a group named Concerned Muslims Australia the Australian Prime Minister had set up a petition interdiction calling on imams and representations ministers to boycott the dinners programme being held in Sydney and Melbourne this year...until further notice.
The old saying "What's sauce for the goose. . . etc". springs to mind.
