Did anyone watch the show,as one of the contestants was driving home to start preperation for their cooking it cleary showed him not wearing his seatbelt as he was driving the car and when he stopped the car again no seatbelt. This would have been seen by 1000s of viewers and I'm sure there would have been a few law enforcers perhaps watching the show also.So my question is do you think that this person will/would have received a fine regarding not wearing a seatbelt? or no one else saw what I saw? or the person was given a fine? I would be interested to find out if this person got a fine or was just given a warning due to the shows produces talking their way out of it.I just can not believe it that a person on the show would be filmed not wearing a seatbelt for us to see.

I will just change the thread to Contestants not using correct cutlery as this seems to be more important than my subject shame on you MKR!

I don't think you need to get carried away because of a little lightheartedness.
We have strict rules that are enforced in this country about seatbelts. I doubt very much that they went far without seatbelts - it was a detail probably lost in the mayhem required to get the correct footage and I doubt it will be repeated.
Using the correct cutlery of the other hand is a mistake made every episode.
And to be frank, most Australians belt up instinctively. But very few Australians know the correct way to set a table. So in relative terms, cutlery IS the most important subject in relation to MKR.

I was just joking and I'm afraid that he did drive without a seatbelt from the time he left Coles and drove over the Glebe bridge until he got home and it clearly showed him in the car without a seatbelt,so I would estimate the time without a seatbelt on could have been anywhere from 5mins to 30mins.Viewers were shown about 3 shots of the driver without a seatbelt on while he was driving. If I drove out of my driveway and there was a police car around I'd be booked immediately if I wasn't wearing my seatbelt. My point is even though you say the show needed to air the footage how the hell didn't they realise what they were showing at the time are the editors blind?

I haven't seen enough of the show but are you sure they are driving or is it staged?
It's like when they serve their meals at home. You see the other contestants arrive at their home but where they dine always looks to me like it is the same place in a studio.
I watched a bit yesterday with the twinning girls. They are really funny. I liked them.

They drive with a dash cam in place.
They usually deck out a family room or use the carport
or something for the 'dining experience'

What about the interstate contestants? Do they all travel to their houses or do they use the temporary accomodation?

Everyone travels to the different states.
I think (not sure) that some contestants 'borrowed' friends
kitchens, cos maybe theirs is dodgy. But I'm not sure
if they are allowed to anymore
Guess you can tell who likes the show, eh?

Later on, when they get down to about 8? couples,
then they will film in a studio

I don't watch the show enough. I'm sure it's good but it seems to be more of a personality contest than a cooking show.
I'm a bit old fashioned and I still prefer MasterChef which is more about the cooking.
