My computers dying (sad face)

yes, my old faithful is struggling, constant crashes ect.

so last tuesday i bit the bullet and ordered a new box of tricks. ready to go, windows 10 ect ect.

now i'm waiting on delivery but the darn fastway tracking is showing nothing since 'pickup' last friday with 'your parcel is on its way from our sydney depot to our adelaide depot' which it was showing friday afternoon.

how long does it take for fastway to get from sydney to adelaide? i realise the depots are closed on weekends but i bet the trucks dont stop at 5pm friday wherever they are and dont move until monday morning 8am.

there enquirey thing on their website is a nightmare. cant just send a simple email.

so ive contacted the seller, who although telling me on friday the computer was shipped thursday has not even updated my item to show its paid for or sent.

maybe they will tell me where my computer is, i hope so.

ive had to reboot this computer 3 times allready today so i need the new one asap.

David, I use a Seagate 3tb external hard drive on my DVD for movies and on my computer for backups.

Some reviews say it is slow but never having known anything else I find it acceptable.

It is currently $122 at Officeworks....if you are patient it will eventually be included in an ebay discount offer at 15% or 20% discount.

need to sort out email, might need to call telstra with that one.

Printer installed, Scanner installed

scanner is a surprise as it allways gave problems with installing on vista.

New day, Telstra's help line is working, YAY!

email sorted.

so i'm almost back to normal.

now if i can just work out how to print an email from this new email thingy.

i can send mail, i can recieve mail but i dont see any 'print' mail.

David, do you have 3 little horizontal lines in the top right corner of your screen?

Click on it and see if there is a Print option.

yes, ive found the 3 dots and the print button

but, when it prints its not printing the whole email.

its off center, so half the message to the right is missing

how things have changed since my first computer

back then i had windows '95

my hard drive was 1.3gb

my screen a huge 11inches.

no internet! not sure why i bought it now.

now i have windows 10

my hard drive has 2,000gb

my screen is 22 inches (pretty sure i'll be upgrading to 27 inches soon)

i can shop for pretty much anything 24/7

do my banking, pay bills, watch videos and play fun games.

i remember getting dial-up internet,ok for browsing but too slow for video.

then then i got ADSL and when MP3s came it took over 30 minutes to download a song.

i havent downloaded any songs so i must try and see how quck they are.
