It is so disappointing to read this comment Freddie.  This has been a lovely thread and I was looking forward to seeing the end result of all your hard work.

It has also given me a bit of incentive to do some redecorating too and get a few ideas from all the renovators who have been adding their 2 cents worth.

I painted my front room in low sheen light-ish green but I painted those surround thingies near the ceiling in a gloss green of the same shade.

It's a subtle effect but it works well.

I did the same thing for the rooms painted in low sheen  off-white. An enamel gloss in the same colour for the ceiling surrounds. it's not so obvious and people don't notice it unless I point it out to them, and then they go "Hey, wow, that looks really good"

I'd have to Google to find out what dado boards are but I bet the same effect would look good on them too. 😉

Beautiful morning despite being a little chilly right now but promises to warm up so washing is on. Master 4 is spending the day with me and looking forward to collecting his cousins from school this afternoon.

My day began at 6am with the arrival of my 2 little grandsons!  I stupidly cut the toast in triangles instead of squares!

My daughter is having surgery this morning to remove the mass and possibly an ovary so my day will be a bit unsettled, I also have an ultrasound at 11.40 am. Not the best day here but the weekend will be nice.

Friday is the best day of the week!

LR That colour combo sound lovely 🙂 Light green/cream/off white always looks so clean and fresh to me. Will post a pic of my dado boards easier than trying to explain
