My day

After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this before and after 002.JPG

Re: My day

Darn hot here today, spent the morning planting veggie seeds into punnets, they can stay where they are for now, 'cause there is no way, I am going into the hot house until atm.

Re: My day

I got a phone call from the Nursing Home this morning i've only just got back home. The Princess had a fall down in the dinning room. A bruise on her elbow, leg and hip she's OK shaken up but fine. Sadly I had to make her realise it's time now for her to use the wheel chair ALL THE TIME not just when I come out on Sunday and take her for a spin in it, she's been fighting using it with heaps of excuses attached to her reasoning. I told her she had 3 choices and she could choose which one she took......(1) she eats her meals in her room (she hates eating in her room) (2) she continues as she does now and uses her walker - but if she falls and breaks her hip she will be moved to high care (she doesn't want to go there). (3) She allows the staff to come and get her from her room for her meals and activities and take her in her wheel chair........She chose (3) *tick* problem solved.

Re: My day

Sorry to hear that Freddie, glad it wasn't worse 😞

I can understand not wanting to use the wheelchair all the time though. Good that the Princess listened to you.

Re: My day

It's sad, but her mobility is bad she's gone down hill in that respect quickly. She's still as bright as a button on top of everything it's just her silly old feet and legs. My biggest fear was that she would fall and break her hip like Mr F's Mum, she only lasted a week after they operated. So my preference was to avoid this by getting her into the wheel chair.

Thanks girls♥

Oh and her picture is in the local newspaper today Woman Very Happy

Re: My day

Freddie, glad the Princess is ok, have you asked about hip protectors? Lots of the residents here wear them and they appear to be excellent.
