My day

After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this before and after 002.JPG

Re: My day

Waves good morning to Tas and welcomes her to the "gardening set"

Potted colour aways looks lovely, there is such much variety to choose from these days and they are so much easier to maintain. Big gardens full of roses are pretty but tend to look drab through the winter months unless there are other plants there as well to maintain some colour when the sky is grey.

Re: My day

Indeed Bushie xx

I'm getting very "gardenerised" these days, how could I not with all the encouragement here?  The potted colour is working well I guess because all I have to do is plant and away it goes.  I did aerate the little gardens though and put some of that dynamic compost stuff in, they seem to be thriving on that ... and, you'll be pleased to know, I'm out there relatively early each morning to just give them a little splash of water.  New hoses too ...  Smiley Embarassed

Back later xx

Re: My day

Had a peek through the "My Day" window earlier this morning.  Everybody must have been lying in bed planning their day.  Well,  I thought I can plan too.  So I did.  But it didn't stop there.

I actually did the activitiesSmiley Wink  ***shines badge on chest***

My times in the garden, I class as prezzies to me if I've been a good girl.  So in excellent bahaviour mode, I did the big weekly (that sometimes becomes monthly) cleanup of the kitchen, bathroom and lounge/dining areas - actually wiped down all cupboards, cleaned exhaust  filters, full moving-of-furniture vacuuming, cleaning the heater and putting it away (again)etc. etc

Now that I feel free, here I am exhausted and it's getting too hot to venture outdoors for too long.  Waiting for the machine to finish, then hang the washing out, tend the fish and ponds.  Back inside to continue looking at piccies for ideas for trellis/covering pond.

Oh and I'd better  shake the Welcome Mat, put my nice potted red flowering Mandevilla nearby and put the kettle on.

Re: My day

Well done DEB 🙂

Monday is my big (well biggish) h/w day, now the sunroom is finally finished a tidy up is definitely on today's agenda.  Light shower early this morning, enough to settle the dust and not much else 😞

Tas, given your climate, bulbs would look great in some of your pots, bit early for planting them atm but and idea for autumn perhaps

Yes, I found the skip bins a bit pricey too. However, I sold my old bathroom fittings on gumtree or ebay, can't recall but also sold my kitchen on facebook, lol.

Sometimes that is better than the tip taking etc. Don't knock yourselves around though, ask for help!

I have a dividing fnce that needs repair or replacement but the neighbours are selling and won't share costs, lol. The other fence also needs the structure replaced but palings are good, not sure what we will do there as they want a colourbond fence, I am concerned about the heat that will generate.

I was lucky enough to take my gorgeous grandboys to school this morning, they are 5 and 7yo and very chatty! but we had to have a game of chess first!

Re: My day

Morning everyone....thanks for the "hellos".  Haven't been posting much for awhile, been rather hectic around here lol

Sounds like most on here have the urge to get things done/change things up and make the most of what they have.....looking good blue x

Scattered a friends ashes at the beach yesterday...was blowing a gale...lucky we all have a weird SOH hahahaa.

The windows/screens are being cleaned atm..I'll soon be able to see outside lol  Great to be able to tick things off "The List".

Have a good one and have a laugh if you can xxx
