Re: My day

All sounds good Freddie, I am sure the delay is frustrating for you, I know it would be for me. So many "dodgy" tradies around these day, registered or not ๐Ÿ˜ž

Hope you can sort to the "chair" pron without too much drama, you don't need any more atm

Might have to chain one or two of the hounds to my new seat lol

Had a parcel sent to me last Tues, still hasn't arrived, the sender is only 30km from me, could have walked there and picked it up by now

Re: My day

Good morning to everyone on this Monday xxx

Don't have time to read back right now as there is an awful lot to do.  The big day is over and now for the even bigger task of putting everything away until next year ....  Smiley Very Happy, but how sweet it is!   How I love having everyone in the house like that, just wonderful, now I can't wait for next year ... Smiley Embarassed

Hopefully I'll catch up tonight.

Re: My day

Forgot to tell everyone about DDs and my hair treatments.Smiley Embarassed  And clothes shopping for me.

She had a cut and dramatic colour added to her once limp/bleached blerk hair.  Of course, she was not satisfied Smiley SadBut it truly looks so good and compliments from workmates, friends, started to filter through her brain to finally accept that it wasn't "bad".

I decided to give up on covering the greys and just accept them and work with them.  Besides, the rapid growth of my hair showed the "trying to be younger look" didn't last long and was becoming exceedingly expensive.

So a good short layered hair cut it is.  And to detract from the ageing aspect, I've indulged in coloured glasses frames and coloured shoes and am brightening up the wardrobe whilst still keeping my colourful personality. Smiley Tongue

I was thrilled to see in the shops that COLOUR is back in fashion.  There was a "dreary" period that started to reflect on people's outlook.  So......just as my mum described the Depression/War years when a dash of colourful lippy lightened the mood of women, the clothing appears to be lightening the mood now.

Anybody else noticed this?

Re: My day

It sounds like a good visit! and pampering.

I am lucky that my hair is light, so greys take a while to show...................I will stick with the small amount of colouring for a while yet, lol

Re: My day

I gave up colouring my hair years ago, I love my grey hair, I have noticed many women are doing this these days. I also dont wear make up and I am sure that's why I have great skin for my age.  I personally don't like seeing older women with heaps of make up, I think it tends to make them look older.

Re: My day

Agree with the makeup, I only wear lippy now, if I remember it when I "socialize".

My hair is still basically darkish.  With the dash/splash/crash of silver around the face.

Just have to keep up with the sparkling personality and a spritz of 'White Diamonds'

Raided the Belgian chocolates - the dark variety - made sure they haven't gone off with all this humidity.Smiley LOL

Re: My day

I don't buy chocolate for anyone.............. for that reason, lol.

I like to see women who wear makeup well, my OH's aunt is 92 and still has her hair and makeup done daily. She looks lovely and her skin is smooth as!.

I do makeup for going out, not shopping or at home days................ my sis is a daily make up lady, lol and my SIL never leaves the bathroom without her 45 min routine, she has lovely skin.

I suppose we all do what we need to do.

Re: My day

I think a little makeup on older woman can look lovely enhancing features. Also most makeup these days  contain sunblock which is beneficial. I too only wear makeup when going out somewhere special as my skin is sensitive, but it does make us feel special when we make an effort with make up and what we chose to wear ๐Ÿ™‚ Fortunately, so I am constantly told, I have good genes and look younger than my years lol People can be kind lol

New door mat to purchase today....the rescue dog ate mine ๐Ÿ˜ž So many toys outside yet he ate the mat! Lovely to see him finally confident enough to start to play. Although throwing a toy sees him cower and wet himself:( ....must have had thingz thrown at him in the past. Small steps to gain his confidence.

Hope the oncologist visit went well freddie.
