After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this

I have no idea why, they say they don't work well, hoping I can find someone who agrees with me (and you) lol.
I bought a vac but I might just go ahead and get the auto one anyway.
My day was wonderful for the most part! The birthday boy had an old fashioned at home party, pool, games, food and apple bobbing, lol

I haven't spotted Katy around for a few weeks, I hope she's OK.

az -I was going to buy an auto pool cleaner but everyone talks me out of it when I go to get one, even the guy in Bunnings, surely they must work?
I don't know why others try to talk you out of an auto pool cleaner either. Do these advice givers have a pool of their own?
They work very well. I am not sure what the price range is for them, there could be some cheapies that don't do a good job.
We bought an auto pool cleaner for the last house we lived in (leased).. wouldn't have done without it. There were palm trees near the pool and the tiny flower heads from them fell in it, plus a gum tree in our property and one in neighbours.. there was always some sort of leaf/flower material dropping in there.. the pool cleaner coped alright with those. Only long narrow leaves got stuck in it occasionally.
We paid about $400 for the one we bought, over 7 years ago.. needed hose sections replacing sometimes and a plastic thing inside the head replaced but other than that it was maintenance free.

Yes, pool owners and the guys who work in the stores.
I have to make a plum pudding................. one using dextrose instead of sugar.
Any recipes anyone has to share please?

Beautiful morning, quiet and peaceful. 1 more applique towel to finish then off to do grocery shopping. Oh and shoe shopping as the rescue dog chewed my comfy walking ones ๐ My fault for leaving them where they looked tempting.

Good morning everyone.
Sounds like the rescue dog has settled in Twinkles. Nice and sunny and peaceful here at the moment as well.
I'm having a much quieter day today. After my walk, we will visit close friends then WRAP. Still haven't wrapped and the rest of the days are pretty much taken up. Our daughter used to wrap when she was home - wish she was home!
Freddie, this is my curtain on my long narrow bathroom window:
We have just bought and put up slimline venetians for our daughter when she moved into her new house around 2 months ago. I wasn't keen when they said they wanted venetians but they actually look quite nice. You can buy plastic ones from Spotlight that aren't very expensive (they don't look plastic) but we had to get the aluminium ones because the plastic ones weren't long enough.
Waves to everyone - hopping in the shower and off for a walk before it reaches the forecast 31. Have a good day ...
