After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this before and after 002.JPG

Re: My day

Katy and Amber.  Helloooooooo to you both.

My New Years resolution (which was a great-grand-aunts saying) may be too impossible to abide...."Know something of everything and everything of something" but I'll try.

Loved Morticia Addams.  Cut the flower off the plant to make the plant look betterSmiley LOL

I was researching something the other day and came across Lurch.  It was his hand that was Thing.

Well the Victorian era GG-aunt will be impressed with my increased knowledge.Smiley Very Happy

Re: My day

lol Deb, the cows across the road from us "cut up" now and again as well - they just bellow and bellow.  Not sure why.  (We live on the edge of a large country town).

My Day:   Went for a nice long walk this morning - it was sunny with a cool breeze so perfect for walking.  Got home around 11 and had some lunch and we planned to leave for a cousin's house around 1 as it is her 79th birthday today.  Around 12.45 we had visitors .... and they stayed until around 3.10pm.  We ended up leaving at 3.30 for a half hour trip to their farm.  Lovely and peaceful out their.  Do you remember the photo I showed you of their lake and the water lillies.  Well, it looked absolutely beautiful today - around half covered with masses of water lillies out in full bloom.

We were bad (there goes my walk) and bought Red Rooster on the way home and we were home for around half an hour when a friend from around the corner came around and asked could I take her to the Eye and Ear hospital in Melbourne next Wednesday.  I took her to her eye specialist about a week before Christmas in the suburbs but this is right in Melbourne.  We were going away on the Thursday but will put it off until Friday as I want to do some baking to take with us as we will be staying with rellies.

So, my day started off casual but became busy.  Tomorrow night I am cooking a roast for the family.

How has everyone's day been.  I haven't had time to test the oven again - couldn't buy an oven thermometer today anyway.  I am going to cook some cupcakes in a moment to see how it goes starting off on a higher temperature.

Will say goodnight and be back tomorrow ....

Re: My day

Smiley LOL  The knowledge is increasing.  So as my English teacher used to say...."use it in a sentence so that you will remember the word".

Yes Miss.  There has been cutting up in the long paddock today.

Sea breeze just eased right off.  Humidity up.  Rumbling and lightning happening out East.  TV reception interference.

Beddie byes from me.

Re: My day

Uh-oh.  Static electricity in the air.  I'm all a-buzz.

Had some choccie late in the evening.  Or it could have been the chinese takeaway. Or turned off this thing too late.

Headed to bed.  Read for a short time.  Then dreamt.  Dreamt some more.  And waited.............and waited............and waited for the little black boxes that I had been kudoed for my dreams.Smiley LOL

Been up for about an hour.  Even done some word games. Nobody to play words with. Well, I'll just go back to bed.

Re: My day

The Bird Baths are all full of water which I think the birds will appreciate over the next two days.

I have noticed that when it gets really hot, like 35+, the sparrows and Doves sit around the water

or in the Ivy and large Fushia above it. Must be a bit of a micro climate of cool air !
