Good morning
Very restless night last night, it poured rain for most of the night but no breeze, all the doors and windows were open but the house still felt quite "stuffy", I ended up going out into the lounge room and flicking on the a/c. The heat/rain seems to have brought out the large 8 legged visitors as well, which pleased me no end ...... NOT

Good morning everyone.
Bushie, we had a very loud storm here during the night. The thunder was so loud. Today it is steamy already, not much air and very humid. No a good day for asthmatics. So far, so good though. Our bird baths are full and some pine bark has been flood off the garden so we must have had a lot of rain.
Had a long day in Melbourne yesterday. My friends appointment was 2.10 and she got out at 5.20 which caught us right in the middle of peak hour. I was parked in Victoria Parade and I spent hours sitting in the car reading and renewing the parking tickets every hour. There was a cafe near by so I grabbed a coffee now and again. We had some heavy downfalls during the day plus a bit of thunder. Got home after 8.
Tomorrow we are off on our break so won't be online for a while. I used to have wi-fi which was good when travelling but you could only get 15gigs so we changed to broadband as we needed more so can't take it with me now. Wondering if it's worth buying a prepaid modem from T. I do have an Op one but it is so slow that it's not worth having.
Doing some cooking today to take with us - we are staying with rellies so like to cover our meals and theirs as well to repay them for their hospitality.
Enjoy your day everyone ....

Omg Sandy What a long day for you, I thought about you and wondered how you were coping in the heat.
Sounds like your weather is much the same as ours this morning, the humidity here is 85% atm, so no wonder we are getting so much rain. I am not used to it as it is usually a dry heat here. Hopefully it wont affect your asthma too much today.
Hope you have a lovely break away, sounds like you may need it atm
Sorry I cant help you re anything internet, we have broadband here and I dont own a mobile ph, so I am no help at all lol

Morning Lurker, it's still raining in my little part of the world, but Im not complaining, it's so badly needed atm. I agree re not living in a large city/town, though living in the bush can have it's advantages, I wouldn't live anywhere else now.

Lurker, I thought yesterday - you have the life! Sounds so peaceful.
We are off to Mallacoota for a few days - 4 or 5 but you never know. My cousin has a house there and they invited us up. I'm a bit of a homebody and miss our animals so I don't usually stray far from home for long.
I was just about to head out for my walk when my dil rang to see if I could have the kids for an hour - she has an appointment at the hospital - I don't mind. I will walk when she gets back.
Enjoy your day in paradise lurker

Good morning lovelies, Sandy when we ventured away for treatment we borrowed my son's dongle for the lappy. I don't understand the in's and out's of them but maybe someone else does. Enjoy your time away relax and have a wonderful time.
I don't mind sharing our humidity with you Bushy, you can keep it if you wish ![]()
Ummm the neighbour got a call at mid night last night and another couple in the early hours of the morning, no speaking just enough to wake her to let her know someone isn't happy being woken with a barking dog. ![]()
No plans for the day today, might run the vac over and do the dreaded furniture dust Aggggg

Good morning All,
Hot as Hades here.
Birds are kicking up a riot - Lorikeets, Galahs & Cockys.
Enjoy Sandy & drive carefully.
Freddie - don't overdo the dusting - there is a heap more that will settle just when you are done.
Have a great - though it is another sad - day - (France).
Roof down - take my mate - wind in our hair.
