After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this

Hi all, hot and humid here.
Well, the bird bath questionnaire has not been a good start here. "Down the Gurgler" you might say. There has been a Seahawk floating around in the thermals disrupting my usual visitors. Lots of warning sounds by the noisy miners. And panic from the doves.
The hawk's flight companions don't seem to be worried. The pelicans are soaring above him.
Doubly ashamed to say the washing up dishes have been soaking a few hours.
Been sitting here beside the window, playing games, reading, visualising new decor for a wanted change.
My 2 TV chairs need new upholstery. But colours/patterns have hindered my start. (Don't have a lounge in this room)
Following the putting away of Xmas stuff, I brought out a white vase and "plonked" in some silk poppies (chartreuse, and orange with leaves). I placed an orange artglass dish beside them and scattered some leaves for the "trilogy of decor law". Impressed yet?
Well.........I'm liking the pared down look, a lot. It's getting really RETRO due to those items being placed on the old Chiswell teak sideboard that has turned a bit "orangey" in colour.
The walls are a cool white, beige carpet. The woodwork trim is teak in colour. Lamp shade is white.
Window coverings will be changed over for winter. Currently white sheer. Windows are East and North
For the chair fabric I'm thinking a sort of dark denim blue colour. with cushions that have a hint of the flower colours.
Thoughts anyone?

Try to bring a swatch book or the ones you like best, home to see if the colours work together. A dark blue denim might look very nice with orange.

Nice bag Amber 🙂
DEB Your room sound sounds lovely, I am hopeless when it comes to decorating, I tend to like really minimalist, the less items around the better these days.
Only the maggies and sparrows using my BB atm, I am hope only all the natives I have planted grow bigger, they will encourage more birds. There is a huge lake just down the road from me, so I guess they aren't going short of water around here.
All the flowering gums around here look stunning atm, so thought I would post a pic

That's gorgeous Bushie. I love the scent of flowering wattle. Lurker, that's what I do. My wristlet has two outside little pockets with turnlocks that fit keys, panadol etc. but can't get an umbrella or bottle of champagne in there. The umbrella is just wishful thinking, no sign of rain.

Sandy has taken time out to think about some personal
news that worried her. Don't know any more than that.
No-one asked what it was, she would mention it if she wanted.

That's fair enough, we all need space at times, perhaps freddie is doing the same
