Good morning to all

Big day coming up tomorrow and everything is ready to go.

Morning all.
Not much happening. OH has a crook knee again.
Heading out shortly to get our scripts, and then to travel a little to visit Mum. I have new shoes for her. It is a long saga! Why is it so hard to buy footwear for elderly ppl with swollen feet? These ones cost 180.00, but I can return them if not ok.
Son and partner have moved in. Plus their two dogs and one cat. There goes our quiet retired life for a while.
Have a good day all, must get motivated with a coffee.

I have a mate up north, NT way, arthritis very bad plus very swollen feet plus big heavy bloke
so the worst combo possible.
Anyway, he didn't like shoes (runners) so wore things or sandles but they kept breaking.
One day, I noticed a pair of sandles in his size (13) on ebay, worn once. I purchased them and sent
them up, as soon as he got them, he was on the phone wanting more.
They use Nylon as the strapping.
It took me 3 months to get 6 more pairs but they will last him his lifetime.
Just a thought.
If you want a pic, let me know.

*Waves to Katy and Vic*
Oh dear ... sorry to hear about your OH having a bad go with the knee again Katy. Hope it gets better really soon, nothing worse than having to limp around.
Sounds like your house is going to be a hive of activity for a while, especially with pets as well. Never a dull moment xx

Hi Tas, yep never a dull moment. They are both back to work next monday, so will be less frenetic around here. Still moving boxes and carp hanging around.
Vic, yes a pointer in the direction of those sandals might be good thanks. Mum wears sandals as she says enclosed shoes hurt and are too hot. I agree with her, but finding the 'right' sandal is a bit of a challenge to say the least. She also has arthritis in a few toes. 😞

Foound the pics.
They are TEVA Sandals. These are mens but the womens were the same.
HOWEVER, Note, I think they discontinued this model, hence why it took 3 months of searching to find 6 more pairs.
Rays Outdoors has TEVA and other makes.
BUT, you can still find SOME around, or very similar by other makers.
They are expensive but these TEVA's are unbreakable. The carry a 120kg bloke around !
Things to look for are the Nylon Strap and open toes. No restrictions on the toes whatsoever.
ALSO, Try Rivers stores, I buy Sandals cheap there, under $20 - $30 and they last me and I am 110 kgs.
