After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this

Love those flowers B3 thank you.
Not sure whether they are pansies or violas or something similar?
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE ....
Lots going on as usual but at the same time, much has been finished. New vertical blinds arrive tomorrow (at some unearthly hour) to be installed in the new music room so at last, that project will be complete. Then on to the lounge/living area, new blinds there as well, no more drapes!
Have a great day all xx

Afternoon all. Bit of a slow start today. However I have got my scripts, and a few groceries. Laundry next.
I love pansies B3.
Still looking for some photos. I seem to have them scattered everwhere.

Funny thing about those blind installation people - they always seem to want to come at sparrow f*rt!
I was still in my 'jamas when they arrived to put the new kitchen and bathroom ones in
These ones are pansies! Lovely big blooms too
Violas are generally a lot smaller in size, and perhaps mosre prolific bloomers.

Oh how true that is B3, they want to come almost at the crack of dawn tomorrow, what is it with that?
Thanks for the information about the flowers, I thought it might have been one or the other. I think I'll be planting some after the winter frosts have died down a bit.

There I was having a conversation about the NBN, and poof ! Conversation disappears.
The mechanism has been installed but I have not yet changed over. I am resisting. I have until November.
Love pansies. They were always around in my childhood. We had a long driveway (no car of course) and the garden bed was planted with the tall ones at the back, stocks, then other flowers graduating down in size down to pansies at the front. All in straight lines for the length of the driveway. Lots of people from the neighbourhood used to visit the garden when it was in full bloom.

Oh how I would love to have seen that Allie, it must have looked glorious, a burst of the rainbow.
I'm hoping we can get a lot of flowers planted just before Spring this year, they'll be annuals as we don't have much time and they are easier for us to replace and control.

It was beautiful. There were poppies somewhere in the middle row. Love them too. We used to burn the ends of the poppies before they were put into a vase. We always had flowers in the house. My father was the green thumb. He used to put a string from one end of the garden to the other when planting each lot of seeds, so that it was straight.
Do you have a new garden? Sorry, I haven't been following much.

No, not exactly a new garden Allie, but we've set up what was there in a completely different way which gives the illusion of it being new. Different greenery etc made all the difference.
We're not exactly good gardeners because of our hectic schedules, but we have been learning and have learned quite a bit about how to get things growing, mostly thanks to you and others on here who have been incredibly inspiring and helpful, as well as motivating xx
