Been to vet on antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medication for possible infection and inflammation.
If you don't like cats please don't say anything nasty or unhelpful. I am very upset just would like to ask for helpful suggestions on how to possibly stop my cats from wandering during the day so they don't get beaten again......maimed, beaten etc.
Thank you.

My outdoor run was about $120 worth of materials, and 2 very lazy days' work. If I had got stuck in, probably could have completed it in 4 or 5 solid hours. Simple framework of surplus square steel tube from local disposals, medium duty garden mesh 50mm x 50mm.
Admittedly I do have equipment that not everyone has at their disposal, cut off saw, grinders, welders, but if you know someone who does have these, it's not a mammoth task. Decided later to cover it in shade cloth, ($50 worth) with a small section left uncovered for full sun, should they desire. A tunnel walkway made from the same mesh gives them a protected path from the house to the run.
5.5 x 2 metres, and just over a metre high, they all seem happy enough spending time in there, or inside as they choose. 2 big litter trays in there, which they use most of the time. At least one prefers to dig in the natural ground though.

My three cats have always been indoor kitties. I spent $1300 on two huge cat enclosures linked together by a tunnel. It was worth every cent.
Indoor cats do fine. I provide lots of toys and cat perches next to windows where they can look outside at the birds and wildlife.
PS I can't even comment on what happened. It hurts too much. I'm so sorry ๐

Sorry to here this,I think anyone that beats up any kind of animal should be thrown in gaol and I hope they get caught as cruelty to animals is a very serious crime.

first of all i am sorry some lowlife hurt your cat, i hope it has a speedy recovery and is not in pain for long.
the only way to prevent your cat wandering is to keep it indoors, in an enclosure outside and only let it free when you are there to supervise it.

Whaaaat?!!
geez that's bad and very sorry for your tom, paints. That's just plain cruelty.
I have no suggestion as to how to keep your cats from wandering, cats being wanderers and explorers as they are.

Hope they are ok. Seriously, you need to consider keeping them indoors and build a cat run for outdoors, safest thing for them.
