Thats what we did and it worked out very well. When the NBN was first rolled out, those that hooked up straight away had quite a few problems. We left it six months after roll out to connect and it hasnt missed a beat. Its faster and a lot more reliable than the old system. Although I have to admit we are lucky to have fibre to the home.
At our remote farm we have NBN using satelite and that has worked perfectly for us, although others in the district are not so lucky. A friend who also has a satelite connection has teenage kids who often have to climb the sand hill behind the house to lodge their school work using their connection, as that is the only place it works for them reliably.........
