Wrangled two adult camels.
We purchased a breeding pair of camels and had to catch them and stuff 'em into a horse float to drive them home.
Took two hours, eight people, lots of sweat, blood, tears and swearing to get the first one in. Second one took 1.5 minutes and walked straight on.
Now at home grazing peacefully in our paddock.
I hope you noticed which one was the easiest to get in, betta start with that one first next time... I know nuffin' about camels, do they have a leader to follow?
May I ask what you have camels for? They are interesting beasts, there used to be a lot of them on a property on Bruny Island that would take people for rides up and down the beach, but I never had a chance to go 😞

Pimpy, according to various gov't departments they are supposed to eat pest weeds such as Lantana and Boxthorn. There has been quite a bit of research over the last few years into the benefits of using camels for weed reduction instead of using chemical sprays.
Darki, apparently it doesn't necessarily work that way (loading the other one first next time), but for sure we will try it if we ever have to move them! The girl camel went on so quickly and quietly because her hubby was already in the float.
We got them to help clear the weeds, also there have been some studies showing that running camels with cattle is beneficial to the cattle - something (flora/bacteria?) in the camels gut transfers to the cattle and lets them utilise their feed much more efficiently - thereby using less feed to put on more weight.
Plus they just look really cool wandering around the paddock - we are still doing a double-take when we walk outside and see two ships of the desert calmly grazing alongside the calves!

what sort of a motor bike do you ride Hawk?
and sorry about the plane, can you fix it? or do you just have to get another one and start again?
The plane is bin fodder, it was never going to end well for that one as it was trainer and I have only been flying for 12 months and was about to retire it anyway.
The main parts like the motor survived and the planes are cheap to buy as ARFs so not much time spent building like the old days.
Ouch Hawk that is some plane crash
yes Darkie I did shorten it a little
for you and sea-jay google ST7
This is mine

I dehermitted and actually went to a party out in the country. Drank beer with old school friends, we're 46 now, did karaoke ... came home at 3 in the morning. Had the BEST time I've had for a very long time.
My friends seemed really pleased I was there too. Usually I say no to these things. My New Years Reso was to dehermit.
sounds like fun, why not get out there and do it again, some times its hard but the more you do it the easier it gets 🙂

I like the bike Hawk, and it's red, so we know it goes fast.....
At least the plane crash wasn't too cost consuming, eh?
