because of serious risk of fire!
I received a letter in the mail and had to check the model number.
They are sending a techie in the next '3-5 days' to fix the problem. "In the mean time do not leave washing machine unattended".
Right. I'm off to a wedding. Today can only get better.

Why are they sending a techie? I think they should send a new washing machine.

Looks like you'll have to take it to the wedding with you. Giggles at the thought of Cat pushing a washing machine in to the church.

Pretty bad, they should be able to manufacturer washing machines (and other electrical items/appliances) without them being in danger of catching fire, in this day and age.

Yes it's a Samsung and I love my washing machine!
I'm home from the wedding, actually it was a garden reception in the parents home by the bay and the beautiful young couple got married in the house with just immediate family present before the party, which was absolutely wonderful.
Although people did wonder why I was attending to my washing machine the whole time. I asked someone else to attend to it while I mingled thank goodness.
PS My son was using the machine when I came home. He said it's probably just two wires close to each other that could spark if they touch.
