The puppies are coming, the puppies are coming!!!!!
We (as a family) decided back in January that this year we would get a puppy!
Miss Samantha is over 2 and the teens are waaay big enough to offer extra help as needed!
This is a BIG deal for me, Ive only ever been a "cat person"..... It's almost like the decision to have another child, very serious to me!!
Anyhoo...... My sons girlfriend has 2 King Charles Cavaliers, and they are having puppies RIGHT NOW!! 🙂
Have spoken to the girls parents and we have known for sometime that we'd be getting one of this litter (the only litter they are having).
I need to do some research on that breed and puppies in general!!!
We will spend time over their house with Miss Samantha over the coming weeks to see which puppy bonds with her best. Will be coming home to us in 6-8 weeks time ♥
Oh... I also have NO ideas for dog names and my teens are not being very helpful!!!!!

Great news, no wonder you are so excited. As for the sleeping arrangements, the experts say never to allow your dog in the bed to sleep with you. They say this is a no no. We took their advice when we brought Millie home. Put down the nice bed in the kitchen, turned off lights but left a little one on then went to bed. Two minutes later little crying sounds from kitchen. Experts say to ignore and don't bring puppy into the bedroom. We moved her bed into the bedroom. Lights turned off again and into bed we go. After 10 minutes little crying sounds which gradually got louder. Experts say never bring puppy into bed. We brought Millie into bed, she curled up on my pillow above my head and went to sleep. She is 3 years old now, has her own pillow above my head and I sleep half way down the bed. Fortunately I am short. Even when my partner was away she still slept above my head.
Lots of fun coming your way.

hahahaha Corgi, i loved reading that post!!
Its something that I would've thought unheard of to have a dog on/in the bed, but then again....
It would be most likely to end up with Mr 15, as we have big french doors that close off the office & sons bedroom from the rest of the house and I was thinking of putting her bed out there? I feel a bit mean closing her in the laundry?
I have a small hot water bottle ready, and she has some toys/ accessories, a cushion bed, assorted foods (wet & dry), puppy milk...
I found a good local vet that I will be using for further vaccinations & desexing, Ive checked out our local Council Website re Dog ownership, and ive even researched Pet insurance to consider.
My son is over visiting the family today (school hols in NSW), and they are dropping him home via dropping one of the other puppies to their forever home nearby.... my sis just suggested they may show up with Daisy tonight too?? Hopefully my son texts me a 'heads up' so I can be prepared!?!?!

I think that room should be fine but she will try it on. You will probably hear whimpering, crying which gets louder. If you are strong you just check on her and shut the door. Good luck lol. Also, don't forget to find out from the breeder what she is being fed. You should keep her on this for a while and when it comes time to change her diet do it very gradually. I explain this in the book I sent. Look forward to seeing some pics of little Daisy.
