That doesn't answer my question, which is specifically about slim persons.

Not true, for the hereditary type.
At 28, Dayna Papalia is a size 8, eats healthily and exercises regularly but has high cholesterol. A blood test a decade ago revealed her condition.
"When I tell people I have high cholesterol, they say, โYouโre not fatโ. But you can have fat arteries and be skinny," she says.
Papaliaโs grandfather died from heart disease at 55 and her mother, uncles and aunts all suffer from high cholesterol.
"I have to eat quite well. I donโt eat butter, saturated fat or processed foods, and I exercise a lot, but unfortunately itโs not enough so I have to take medication," she says.

I edited that post and added a bit more. My sister is very thin and has high cholesterol (Dr says could be hereditary).. a handful of almonds would not fix that.
