I was overcharged at the vet and when I pointed it out they said they returned overpayment into my bank account. This was Wednesday late afternoon. What's the usual wait time until I see it in my bank account?
Thanks 🙂

3 to 5 days.

Depends how you paid and how they did the refund.
If you paid by eftpos and they did a refund transaction same business day, should have gone through by next day. If they did that while you were still at the vets they would have given you a eftpos slip receipt for the transaction which says refund.
24-48 hours for an interbank internet transfer
what purple said for a cheque

It was only when I got home and looked at the bill that I noticed. I rang them and they refunded while I was on the phone. I paid by Eftpos.
I'm wondering when I should phone them? I guess I'll leave it until Monday.

Call your bank. Sometimes they will have the info before you can see it on your acc.

I would predict it will go in tonight & show in your bank account tomorrow, as the transaction was done late on Wed aft.
At work if I do the pays in the morning, they go into bank a/cs that afternoon, even for accounts at different banks. If I do them in afternoon, for other banks it goes in overnight, avail on Tues.

It wasnt for a cheque..........I was stating what it has been for me, anyway it depends on the bank, when they decide to put it in

Will it show up on a Saturday?
I thought about calling my bank but I might leave it for a couple of days.
Thanks for the advice 🙂

Yes, it should show up in your bank a/c Sat if it goes in tonight. Depends on the bank, some have changed for the better in that respect.
Different banks have different timings.. usually 48 hrs from a bank a/c not transfered to before, and 24 hours from a bank a/c that has trfed before.
If it was a refund through eftpos that is a bit different than net trf too.
