Aged pensioners (which the OP falls into that category) have contributed for many years as taxpayers and now it is their turn to get some of that back.. anyone that has a problem with that has a problem.
On the other hand some other beneficiaries could fall into the me, met the country owes me group.

Incorrect, you are a pensioner and have been drawing funds from tax payers for way longer than you have ever provided them. And there are perhaps a million pensioners just like you (well, I'm sure not all of those plagiarise Wikipedia, but you get the drift)
Basically, your existence has made the country hundreds of thousands of dollars poorer
