Sorry folks. I was under the impression that we were getting $54 p. fortnight rise today. guess what? $23.......just the auto. rise in March and September. Wondered why our fearless leader hadn't blown her trumpet loudly...:_|

Yes, if they are having trouble managing.
Mow someone's lawn, babysit, walk someone's dog, anything to earn a couple of dollars.
Don't complain, do something.

In an ideal world where employers are willing to employ the elderly which lets face it are few and far between they just might. Provided of course they have their health which most in their 70's and 80's don't.
In fact in an ideal world we'd have no disability, so old age and no need for welfare because every one would have their needs meet....

March 13 2010, I did notice that and in fact just for your ino next pension everyone gets the household assistance package installments.

It is easy to get part time jobs in the private service industry, don't have to be 100% healthy.

yeah that'd be right.. at 74 I'm sure everyone would rush to employ me....and why not? I can type and spell..which is more than a lot of 'youse' on here can.
Who'd look after my OH who has dementia? didn't think of that.mmmmm
