PERTH

I am becoming fascinated with Perth!

Tell me everything! What are the nice areas? What's not so nice?

Is East Victoria Park a nice area? What about Mt Lawley?

How cold does it get in winter? Many people? Is it busier now?

Why have you got sandy soil over there? Is it everywhere? LOL

Pictures please 😄

Re: PERTH

I have to agree with you about Kalgoorlie, Joz. We lived there for two years in the 70s and I can remember breaking more than one garden hose by driving over it when it was frozen solid.

the Warden's Court in Coolgardie is one of the most beautiful buildings in Australia. Sadly though the  town is a bit of a ghost town these days - or it was when I last visitCouparCoupar few years ago. Kalgoorlie is booming though.

I cant stand Kalgoorlie. I agree Joz, Kal gets very cold, but it had nothing on NYE 2011 in Collie. I have never been so cold in my life. Busselton at Easter was pretty cold at night too.

I travelled to Port Pirie on the Indian Pacific.  1st class no less 😄  It was such a nice trip and talk about miles and miles of desert, then yes there was plenty of that.

It was beautiful emptiness and the stars at night were amazing.

Then from Adelaide to Melbourne on the other train which might have been the Overlander.  Or that might have been the one from Sydney to Melbourne which I have also ridden.
