Pauline Hanson To Lead One Nation Again

Pauline Hanson has declared she'll lead the One Nation Party once more, and its first electoral test will come next year when Queenslanders go to the polls.

The party's executive unanimously backed Ms Hanson's return as leader at a meeting a few weeks ago and members are expected to formally endorse her at a meeting on November 29.

The serial candidate has insisted on her name being included once more in the party's brand.

But she insists the move to rebrand the party as Pauline Hanson's One Nation has nothing to do with ego.

"I have no ego," she told the Seven Network. "But I think that people relate to me."

She said she wasn't going to repeat past mistakes and allow people to infiltrate the party and destroy it from within.

"I'll take total control of it myself," she said.

"If I don't succeed then it'll be my fault. But no one's going to pull my strings. No one's going to tell me what to say."

She said the reborn party's first test would come early next year at the Queensland election, and she was also aiming to win a seat in the federal parliament.

Why would this attempt be any different that the last 9.

10th attempt LOL

"However, it should be remembered she has tried before and failed at every attempt but one to get into a Parliament.
Ms Hanson has nine times stood a variety of elected offices but has won just once — in Oxley in 1996 after being dumped as the Liberal candidate."

She is only appealing to racists, religious bigots and uses scaremongering tactics.

Education, health & employment are much bigger more important issues to most Australians.

I can't see how she would make any money from an election campaign, it actually costs money to run it.

The LNP can give her ideas on how to 'launder' political donations LOL LOL LOL

The aim is to win and become an MP or whatever on a high salary?

Oh dear goodness.

And she retires with the rest of them after 3 years with a lifetime income.

I think it is more than 3 years now.  Lifetime Gold pass travel not available for any new MP's & Senators after 2012, Intent is to abolish it all together.

Re: Pauline Hanson To Lead One Nation Again

Someone who genuinely seems patriotically Australian and willing to stand up for the rights of the Australian people deserves money that will go into supporting her cause imo.

I think you mean some  Australian people.

In her maiden speech last time she said we were in danger of being overrun by Asians - I wonder if she'll amend it to Muslims this time round.

Lol it might be exactly the same speech about a different group of people.

Much as I disagree with Hanson's views I was horrified by what they did to her. Does anyone remember that big newspaper story where they published a photo of an undressed woman they claimed was her? I think it was the Murdoch press?

Re: Pauline Hanson To Lead One Nation Again

Today

Ms Hanson said she had no problem with immigration, but said Australia must carefully consider who it lets in.

"Bring in the right people that are culturally going to blend in to our society, that we have the same views and laws and we have the same beliefs."

She said she had concerns about the Muslim religion in particular.

"They state under (the) Koran they don't believe in democracy, freedom of the press and freedom of speech."

Australia must be protected for future generations, Ms Hanson said.

"The Labor party opened up the floodgates. **We had the refugees coming into Australia, we ended up with terrorists out of that. We ended up with people not loyal to the country, and now it's up to the Abbott government to actually turn this around."

But Ms Hanson also said she knew of Muslims who were hard working and made an effort to be part of Australian society.

"I know of some Muslim people that don't wear the ***full burqa and they actually blend into Australian society and are loyal to this country," she said.

"It's about being united."
