With a nursing background, my first child was vaccinated, no question about it, I gave it no thought................. just fronted up as per the schedule because that is how it was done.
He had a severe reaction to it and was in hospital for 3 days................ the paed then said he was not to have triple antigen under any circumstances so he was never vaccinated for whooping cough.
Child number 2................. same thing................ worse reaction... same result.
Child 3, fully vaccinated, then measles vaccination and was so ill, he was hospitalised. Doctors insist he must have been exposed to measles prior to the vaccination. However, that was not possible.......... we lived on an isolated property and the only time in that month that he/we saw anyone was that immunisation.
Child 4, no problem, fully vaccinated.
Last child............. sick from the first vaccination date, no more until she was 6yo, then fully vaccinated. She is the one who has had whooping cough.
