Bit of a surprise, eh?  

It says in the link that he had vowed to never enter politics again, but some time ago I heard him say that he had left politics too early.  

Anyway, he's always been one of my favourite pollies.

Regurgitating labor lies is de rigueur for some. The hate Beattie has for Rudd has been a topic for decades & to equate it to Costello is idiocy but why doesn't that surprise me? that's what they do.

I hope Beatie wins that seat so he can then unseat Rudd,  Rudd knows this that's why he cemented himself into the leadership. It must have been galling for Rudd to have to crawl to Beattie at the party's request. This shell has no moral fibre.

I think you have that wrong LL as it should read : " having a  purpose (goal) does not mean having to be the best of buddies with anybody".
