Please find another time for Protest

If you're fighting to protect people's lives, why not start by not risking the innocent lives of everyone elses. Find another time. I will have more respect for you. I was just saying the other day: Thank God that Australians aren't as crazy as Americans and we have at least some common sense not to choose this time to protest.

They have been ' restrained ' - full stop.

LOL - there are 4 of you - 1 of them.

Having been restrained - put them in the car - to the station.

Then get - a charge - evidence - etc etc etc.

Not ' murder ' on the street.

It was one on one.

Icy, do you do this deliberately to show your ignorance, or to get a rise out of people?

If you read any links and see the video, you'll see the other three kneeling on his back and legs.

So how did they contribute to his death?

I'm ' effing ' bothering - because simpleton - they stood by.

And for doing that - are now - on charges.

Let it go - too much for simple minds.

I remember seeing on TV one lady with a sign "RACISM IS A PANDEMIC" and if I didn't get what it was all about before, I would have beforehand. People in tthe US felt they had to act now and this is totally understandable. There was really noo alternative to not protesting and speaking out. Tell me, who in the government in past has listened and done something about it?

Meanwhile back here in Australia, as of  June 1st, 1991,

The Guardian

'Deaths in our backyard': 432 Indigenous Australians have died in custody since 1991

Aboriginal people whose family members have died in custody express solidarity with people on the streets of US cities protesting against the death of George Floyd

https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2020/jun/01/deaths-in-our-backyard-432-indigenous-austral...

With regard to the above, how can silence on this be allowed to continue for one day more? I believe a protest was necessary as it seems that nobody has ever listened and done anything to remedy thiis!

As I said before, with the borders closed, this was a safer excercise. It had to be done.

Racism and the apathy that goes with it is a pandemic and it apparently affects more people than the Corona virus has and will.

Re: Please find another time for Protest

Ummm, 200 years to do it, and they choose now when there's a pandemic. I call BS. It had to be done? What are we the US?

Corona virus easily affects more people 7 millions so far plus everyone around them that's associated with them so 7.5billion I'm guessing. Want me to quote the people killed by the corona virus vs those people killed by the police? Your comment makes no sense to me. The protest in Australia achieved nothing except for delaying easing of restriction and showing the protestor as reckless and inconsiderate.
