A long and brilliant career.
I will always remember his Oscar winning performance in Capote,, when he played the equally brilliant writer Truman Capote.

Just an observation BCD.
Heroin has never wasted any lives, the blame has to be put squarely at the foot of the owners of those lives.
I have no sympathy for those people. Inconsiderate, stupid people who have no regard for the ones they leave behind.
Ahhhh to live in such a perfect world as you, and to be so judgemental about those who don't meet your oh-so-high standards of behaviour.
RIP Philip Seymour Hoffman, a father, a husband, a son, a great actor, an imperfect human being.

I thought this was a lovely tribute.
Jim Carrey - Dear Philip, a beautiful beautiful soul. For the most sensitive among us the noise can be too much. Bless your heart. ;^{

Annie, why blame the substance?
The people who take it are the guilty ones, they are as weak as yellow fluid.
