Random sample

Mitigation and response to detected coronavirus infections is thankfully proving effective , but tends to be reactionary , so what is the situation in the wild ?

Undetected infections ? self recovered ? undetected asymptotic cases ? Who can say at this time.

A random sample of residents in one area might prove interesting and validate to an improved extent current successes , also reduce any surprises.

A representative population group of say 1000 people residing in the same suburb of Sydney , but not having any coronavirus interventions therein as per the immediate area

Notification of intent to test on a relaxed Saturday afternoon , door to door knock, voluntary only , id and address confirmed, $100 thanks for co-operation per person including children , to assist with re-prioritising activities and maintain enthusiasm for the project.

Sort of like a clinical double blind test - a baseline

Any pertinent comments ?

If not addressing the responders, then  who are you asking?

Everyone who has answered has been a 'troll' in your opinion.

By repeating the OP, it is just SPAM and should be considered such.

"Any pertinent comments relating to the subject matter , with qualifications, is encouraged ,

but deliberate and persistent troll comments of a personally denigrating nature will result in a request to be addressed appropriately".

Exactly. Calling somebody who barely posts on this board a "troll" ey, is ludicrous and nasty. I hope that was, in part, the reason why it was addressed appropriately.

The issue is maintaining the integrity of my post thread , and replies that do not have anything to do with post thread subject matter in a manner that is denigrating compromises my discussion here and is basically vandalism

Not to mention the fact that roge wants dissenters to start their own thread, ignoring the fact that he doesn't own any of the myriad threads he starts on this subject. If he did, he would have mod rights.

I like the fact that he appears not to have any relevant qualifications, but wants others to only reply if THEY have them.

It's not your thread, even though you've posted the most on it - like about 4 drafts of the same post. It is a public thread on a public forum.

Re: Random sample

Seems obvious, if unwanted public replies is a concern, go private.. and invite like minded people.

Signatures suck.

Even on a public forum there are standards of conduct that need not be proclaimed within a civilised community

And you are - at best - a novice.
