that story is a lot like when i'm sitting in the comfy chair watching tv, got my large glass of diet coke on the table next to me and mr foo (the greyhound) appears and decides to do his happy dance and his extra long tail swings around, hits the glass, sending it all over me, the chair, the floor and the walls.

the glass of course breaks and ive got no shoes on!

and he gives me the big sad eyes look (sorry couldnt help it)

If that was one of my pets, I would have got the "it wasn't me, s/he did it" look. They're good at blaming each other. We had to kid proof our house due to the wayward pets, and that includes having drinks at a level that can be knocked over while they're inside. I'm thinking about making a 10 foot straw, so I can have the drink up on the mantlepiece and not have to get up and have some.

Re: Reasons to be cheerful

The thing is I did not even shake the bottle, just took the top off and away it went, a fountain of Orange.

It had been in the fridge for 3 weeks.

I would never drink that stuff ever

Grand children left half a large bottle of Fanta in my fridge, sat there for about 3 weeks so i thought I would throw it out, went to empty it down the sink and the whole thing explode in the kitchen.

Up the walls all over the Blind, Floor Fridge, dish washer, running down all the cupboards and running into draws.

All over me even had orange hair.

I wanted just to sit down and cry in my Fanta Flood, I thought DONT lose it.

So I striped off my cloths put a old Nightie on and got stuck in.

Took me 2 hours them I had to get in the shower and wash my orange hair.

The next day I could still see Fanta spots on things, cleaned it all again.

Told the Grand Kids NEVER ever bring Fanta into my house again

At least you where able to clean yours up. I took the family camping for a few days over a long weekend. The esky was full of food so the refreshments ( 6 cans of Johny Walker scotch & Coke ) had to sit on the back seat of the car and get put in the esky as needed.

We left the camp site to go swimming as it was the middle of summer and very hot. You guessed it, came back to find the whole interior of the car lined with baked on, sticky, gooey scotch & Coke. We didnt really have anything much to clean it with, so just cleared a bit of the windscreen and drove home. It never really came out of the upholstery of the car.     Smiley Sad

Can of Passiona - pierced as it fell - spewing the yellow froth - across a carpeted area - like a lawn sprinkler on steroids.

Tiny black ants proved that I hadn't cleaned up as well as I thought.Smiley LOL

I am so cheerful that that happened about 15 years ago Smiley LOL

I once tried to nuke a frozen burrito in my microwave.........I thought I input 2minutes, 20 seconds, actually it was 22 minutes.........After I realized what the smell was, the burrito looked like a glowing log from the fireplace, and the microwave was toast.........

Re: Reasons to be cheerful

Loving the stories! My grandma did much the same in my kitchen. A whole dish of hot, freshly dissolved RED jelly crystals. Everywhere! There is still a stain at the base of my cupboard. She's been gone a few years now, but I remember her trifles fondly โ™ฅ

Re: Reasons to be cheerful

I melted a piece of chocolate cake in the microwave doing the 30 secs vs. 30 minutes trick.

Microwave was ok and smelt amazing for weeks

I'm so glad I learned that if you put half the required amount of water to rice ratio in the microwave you end up with rice cakes Woman LOL
