Major furniture retailer recalls chairs over fears the legs may break 

 

 

Fantastic Furniture is recalling a dining chair over fears the legs may break during use.

The Dimi dining chair in both black and white, which was sold nationally and online between June 2019 and May this year, is being recalled due to a manufacturing defect.

Consumers should stop using the chairs immediately and return them to Fantastic Furniture for a full refund or exchange.

 

 

 

"The chair legs may break during use due to a manufacturing defect," the recall notice said.

"There is a risk of injury if the chair legs break during use. Incidents have occurred."

IKEA  Australia recalls certain SLAGVERK 500g frozen pieces due to presence  of black rubber

 

Due to presence of black rubber pieces IKEA urges all customers who have bought SLAGVERK breaded wheat-based pieces 500g, frozen, with article number: 205.588.94 and Best Before Date 19-08-2025 (DD-MM-YYYY) to contact IKEA in Australia for a full refund. Other Best Before Dates and other markets are not affected by this recall.

 

The safety and quality of the food we offer is our number one priority. We want to offer our customers products they can trust, that are produced in a responsible way, without making any compromises on food safety and quality.

 

Despite this, it has come to our attention that black rubber pieces may be present in certain packages of SLAGVERK breaded wheat-based pieces 500g, frozen, with Best Before Date 19-08-2025 (DD-MM-YYYY) in Australia. The foreign object originates from a broken rubber sealing ring in the production line.

 

The product has been available for sale in IKEA stores in NSW, ACT, QLD, VIC, SA and WA.

 

The product can be returned to any IKEA store for a full refund. Proof of purchase (receipt) is not required.

Coles Supermarkets Ltd are conducting a recall of the above products. The products have been available for sale in Coles Supermarkets and online nationally.

Date Marking:  Best Before 05/02/2027 

Problem: 

Biotoxin (aflatoxin) contamination.

Food safety hazard: 

Food products containing aflatoxin may cause illness/injury if consumed.

What to do: 

Consumers should not eat this product. Consumers should return the product(s) to the place of purchase for a full refund. Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.
